IMPACT – Sureway Youth Ministry 14 – 25’s

IMPACT stands for Influencing Many People About Christ Teaching. IMPACT is the Youth Ministry at Sureway International Christian Ministry. It is a ministry for young people within the ages 14 to 25 years. Some of the youths in this age group are in secondary school while some others are in higher education including colleges and universities.

The youths meet during the last Sunday of every month at 2:30pm and some other days are arranged during times of activities as required. They are encouraged to get involved in the various departments in the church including Ushering, Praise & Worship, Music, Nursery and Welfare.

The activities for their monthly meetings vary, and include games, discussions, education & general advice, sharing in songs or drama or testimony, all based around the word of God.

Criteria for youth workers

• The youth workers must be born-again, adult members of the church who are prepared to devote their time in prayer and practical effort to help the young people on their way to becoming the young men & women God wants them to be.

• Potential youth workers must not be afraid of a challenge, must enjoy working with young people and desire to bring out the best in them.

• Potential workers will be fully engaged in teaching, mentoring, cautioning when necessary. As well as helping the youths in organising various activities inside and outside the church.

The youth ministry at SICM has given birth to many adults who are now involved in various church departments doing the work of God with all thoroughness.
